The Role Of Appropriate Technologies In Cooperation Projects. Proceedings Of The International Conference (desenzano Del Garda, 16 December 2005)

This volume contains the proceeding of the international conference The Role of Appropriate Technologies in cooperation projects carried out in Desenzano del Garda (BS), December, 16th 2005. The objective of this conference was to elaborate some criteria that could help in the choice of technologies that are technically correct and socially and economically sustainable. Some European Centres with a long experiences in appropriate environmental technologies in Developing Countries were invited as main speakers in order to put compare the experiences of different research groups. In particular the conference had the following objectives:– to stimulate a reflection on the method applied in the research of appropriate technologies;– to promote a multidisciplinary approach as basic rule for a correct cooperation: usually the cooperation projects are complicated and require many different competences, not only but also in cultural, social and economic.– to promote a network between the Centres and start on international collaborations, that can help the sharing of information and experiences concerning research activities in Developing Countries.Contributions by: Alberto Bezama, Carlo Collivignarelli, Helmut Jung, Harrie Knoef, Andrea Micangeli, Namiz Musafer, Marco Ragazzi, Christine Werner, Christian Zurbrugg.
