Recent Developments On Mathematical Programming And Appliocations. Workshop Held In Pisa, On 5th June 2009

The present volume collects unpublished papers, presented during the workshop on Recent developments on mathematical programming and applications. The workshop took place at the Faculty of Economics of Pisa on 2009, 5th June, as a closing activity of a research project, financially supported by Italian Minister of University and Research (MIUR), as a PRIN project. The reader can find current theoretical studies on generalized convexity and generalized monotonicity. Both scalar and vector optimization problems are considered even from an algorithmic point of view and applications to finance and logistics are presented.Laura Martein took her degree at the Faculty of Mathematics of Pisa, while Laura Carosi graduated at the Faculty of Economics of Pisa. Their research interests are on Generalized Convexity, Scalar and Vector Optimization, Fractional Programming. They are both professor of applied mathematics at the Faculty of Economics where they take courses on Calculus, Mathematics for Economics and Operation Research.
