This volume collects the contributions presented at the 13th edition of the International Conference on Nuclear Reaction Mechanisms held in Varenna, on Lake Como, mid June 2012. This Conference started its series in 1977 and with time become one of the most influential and popular Meetings of Nuclear Physics Community. More than one hundred scientists, from a large number of Universities and Laboratories across the world, attended the 2012 edition, offering an exhaustive review of the most recent achievements in Nuclear Dynamics and of the applications in Nuclear Medicine, Astrophysics and Nuclear Energy production.
