Otherness­alterita'

This pamphlet is a little experiment. It arises from the wish to propose a reflection about one of the greatest privileges that anyone, who is involved in research, has, namely the awareness to be able to conceive knowledge tools as an inclination to look at the complicated issues in terms of sum of simplicities. For this reason the topic, which is the unifying element of the book, regards a holistic and multiform issue, the Otherness, in the meaning of capability to be valued under different aspects of humanity and to be considered a complementary and equal component of ordinariness.The Otherness is a universal theme; everybody is convincingly willing to argue its inevitability, if not its necessity. Nevertheless, there is no one, who has not only experienced to perceive him/herself as other one, but at same time has not seen in this think an element of injustice or discrimination. Questo libello è un piccolo esperimento. Nasce dalla volontà di proporre una riflessione circa uno dei maggiori privilegi che ha chi si occupa di ricerca, ossia la consapevolezza di poter concepire gli strumenti della conoscenza come disposizione a guardare alle questioni complesse in termini di summa di semplicità. Per tale motivo l'argomentazione, che fa da filo conduttore, concerne un tema tanto olistico quanto cangiante, l'Alterità, nell'accezione in cui essa si possa cogliere in differenti articolazioni dell'umanità e possa intendersi come componente complementare e paritetica dell'ordinarietà. L'Alterità è un tema universale; tutti siamo convintamente disposti a dichiararne la ineluttabilità, talvolta la necessità. Eppure non vi è alcuno che, non solo non abbia vissuto l'esperienza di percepire sé stesso come altro, ma al contempo non vi abbia visto elemento di ingiustizia o discriminazione.
