A livello mondiale assistiamo sempre più frequentemente ad iniziative volte a fondare istituzioni intermedie che si occupano di questioni del lavoro. Tali istituzioni esprimono la necessità di promuovere ricerca per stimolare l'evoluzione organizzativa delle imprese e degli enti pubblici ed attraverso di essa valorizzare il lavoro. Lo scopo di queste istituzioni si inserisce in una prospettiva che vede rivolgere maggiore attenzione al rapporto tra nuove forme di organizzazione, produttività, innovazione, partecipazione e occupazione. In seguito a queste tendenze è nata la rete internazionale RLDWL (Regional and Local Development of Work and Labour) volta ad organizzare uno scambio di esperienze rispetto al ruolo di tali istituzioni nell'ambito di processi di innovazione. Questo volume comprende i contributi di Istituti per il Lavoro europei ed extraeuropei, che discutono le loro esperienze e sfide future. Oltre alle esperienze specifiche dei vari Istituti vengono anche discussi il ruolo e le prospettive delle rete RLDWL. Today we can see an increasing number of initiatives in the world over aimed at setting up intermediate institutions concerned with Work and Labour. Such institutes are an expression of the need to promote research aimed at fostering the organisational evolution of businesses and public bodies, as well as valorising work through it. The aims of these institutes fit into a picture of enhanced attention to the relationships between new forms of work organisation, productivity, innovation, partecipation and employment. As a result of these tendencies the internatinal network RLDWL (Regional and Local Development of Work and Labour) has been set up with a view to strengthening the exchange of experiences relating to the role of intermediate institutions within the framework of innovation processes. The book comprises contributions from European and non-European Institutes concerned with Work and Labour that discuss their experiences and future challenges. Another topic of discussion regards the prospects of the RLDWL network.
