This text is the outcome of a close investigation of Feasibility Analysis through research, teaching and consulting within the Research Unit "Transport, Territory, and Logistics" (TTL) of the IUAV University of Venice, as well as the result of a Scientific Conference covering the subject. Feasibility Analysis is an exciting field that brings together what many students, practitioners and researchers like best about transportation engineering and economics. It deals with methods for evaluating the effectiveness of a new transport system and couples deep intellectual content with a remarkable range of applicability. In editing this book it was aimed at capturing these varied perspectives and at offering a comprehensive text on the subject, which would provide an integrative view of theory and applications.
